Part of Wüsthof's Gourmet series of knives, these steak knives are a less expensive version of the manufacturer's Classic series of cutlery. Although the blades are still made of high-carbon steel with a stain-resistant alloy, the difference is that they are made of a thinner quality metal and are cut by a precision laser instead of by hand. The blades still have an ideal shape as they are ground and polished by computer to ensure perfect tapering from tip to bolster. Full tangs extend through the synthetic traditional-style handles, which are triple-riveted for strength. These knives are dishwasher-safe but hand washing is recommended to preserve the edges on the blades.
