The CTX690 Network Toner and Probe Kit is designed to locate and trace cables on inactive or active networks, live or dead phone lines, and coaxial video cabling systems. Today's media networks often combine twisted pair data, telephone voice, coax, and security/alarm video wiring. It offers 2 selectable powerful Net and Tel tones, enabling cable installers and Datacom/Telecom technicians to plug directly into active networks, patch panels, network/telephone wall outlets, or live phone lines for quick isolation of the right wire/cable. The toner generates pulse/warble tones, checks continuity/polarity, and provides talk battery power. The probe tests include trace, hub blink, and link mode, and has a built-in flashlight. It includes Alligator Clips, RJ45 and RJ11 connectors, F connector adapter for coax cable, spare tip, and a carrying case.
