Traveling Man Treasures is selling this exquisite collectible figure from the Veronese Collection depicts the Egyptian Goddess Selkis, protector of the deceased.
This is one of the Goddesses whom stands on four sides of Tutankhamun's canopic shrine. Facing inwards to the shrine with arms outstretched in a gesture of protection, these statues depict the tutelary divinities of the deceased, Isis, Nephthys, Neith, and Selkis, which is identifiable by the hieroglyphic symbols on their heads. This particular one is Selkis, who stands on the south of the shrine.
