Harris Tweed Black & White Herringbone Pattern Wool Jacket

Here we have a rare opportunity to purchase a genuine and classic, black and white, tweed, herringbone pattern, jacket in 100% wool and also in pristine condition. This jacket was produced for top notch online retailer Dobell from lovely quality Harris Tweed fabric. The yarn for Harris Tweed fabric has to be produced and spun on one of the islands in the Outer Hebrides, off Scotland in order to be labelled as Harris Tweed and the label on this item clearly shows the red orb for authenticity. Dobell are top notch retailer who predominantly produce men’s tweed jackets/coats/suits and accessories, many of which are supplied by Harris Tweed. Occasionally they also produce a line of womens jackets and this is one of them. This jacket is typical of Harris Tweed and has a slightly fluffy, soft handwoven feel to it. The wool is thick and warm and the jacket has a beautiful shape and and classic styling to it. Under the collar soft, black velvet enabling the wearer to keep the collar up to show off this feature if desired. There are two front pockets with flaps and 2 front buttons and a further 4 smaller buttons on each sleeve. The back has a pleat. The lining is black, white and grey and features fantastical flowers with a slight paisley effect. There is also a long, black velvet pocket inside with a button fastening, this is a good size and could hold a phone, spectacles, purse or other items. At the moment it holds a spare front button that comes with the jacket. This really is a ‘wear to anything and wear with anything’ type of jacket and perfect for the colder weather.
