As an art newspaper, Point d'ironie was born in 1997 based on a conversation between Agnès b., contemporary artist Christian Boltanski, and contemporary art curator Hans-Ulrich Obrist. It is published irregularly several times a year. Each issue features a guest artist who creates a special artwork using the paper as they wish, and artists active in various fields are selected by the Point d'ironie office in France.
