Symphonies No. 6 and 7 were recorded at the Sofiensaal, Vienna.

I purchased this import version of Solti's recording around 1975, a few months before the domestic version was released in Japan.
These are LP records pressed by English DECCA.

All records, from No. 1 to No. 9, are in good condition.
Some discs have minor scratches, but they do not affect the sound quality. The bonus disc has a slightly longer scratch on side 2, but it did not affect the sound quality.

The box is in good condition on the front and back.
The liner notes have some age-related stains.
The original inner sleeves are all in good condition.

There are no spindle marks on the record labels.
When placing the records on the player, I handle them carefully to avoid scratching the area around the center hole of the label with the turntable's spindle.

As these records are about half a century old, I have taken the precaution of gently wiping them with a solution of anhydrous ethanol and purified water (distilled water) diluted at a ratio of 1:3, using a gauze pad along the grooves, and then drying them thoroughly before placing them in the original inner sleeves.

This is Solti & the Chicago Symphony's first complete set of Beethoven symphonies.
DECCA's excellent recording enhances the performance. The vocalists in the 9th are also excellent.

As these are old records, there will be some noise typical of LP records.
