U.S. Military Surplus
The M-1950 jacket, likely the shortest-lived model in the history of field jackets starting with the M-43.
The M-1950 was officially designated after the final M1943 jacket was modified with inner buttons to accommodate a liner. However, it was only issued for a year due to the introduction of the M1951 jacket, which featured a zip-up front.
Following this, the field jacket evolved from the M-51 to the iconic M-65. Naturally, the M1950 jacket is rare, and because jackets from that era were originally designed to be oversized, finding one in a small size is exceptional.
The collar shows significant wear, but the overall fading and wear are minimal, and there are no signs of fraying or tears, including on the sleeve cuffs. The area around the inner drawcord is also in very clean condition.
The sleeve cuff buttons are missing one each on the left and right sleeves, and one latch button is missing from the collar. These are not areas that significantly affect the jacket's functionality.
There is a stain on the left sleeve when worn.
Even considering these minor flaws, and the jacket's age and scarcity, I believe it is in near-mint condition.
There is a shop that has sold a similar condition size S for 35,000 yen.
